Two Rivers
Neshota Park Rotary Pavilion
The bold bright blue and white fabric canopy roof of the Neshota Rotary Pavilion immediately catches your eye the moment you reach the beach. It faces directly on to the sandy shores of the Lake Michigan in the Neshota Park. How can one miss it? The steel poled structure rests on a concrete base with a back surround of brick hosting plaques and signs honoring those who contributed to make it possible.
A ribbon cutting ceremony was held July 26, 2016. The Rotary Club spearheaded the development of the $125,000 project donating $25,000. There were other major benefactors in the community, and all are honored with plaques on the base of the structure. Music was by the local band "White Chocolate" which has regularly performed at the bandshell.

From Two Rivers City Engineer, James McDonald, PE: "The concept originated with Greg Buckley, City Manager, after viewing something similar. Poligon Fabric was contacted and the idea fleshed out. Polygon relied on Porter Corporation for structural calculations. The original plan was prepared by or under the direction of Christopher Evans of Porter Corp. Final design plan, structural grounding, structural steel placement, footing/foundation redesign, concrete work and the added ramp were prepared and sealed by the City Engineer. Construction of the footings, ramp and slab, along with the erection of the steel support system was essentially completed in the fall of 2015. Some finishing touches were added the following year. " (Deforest and Greenfield have both used Poligon.)
Summertime regularly brings free "Bands on the Beach" musical entertainment.
In addition, one of the many highlight of the beach is Kites Over Lake Michigan held each year on Labor Day weekend.
