Rhinelander Hodag Park
Hodag Park Amphitheater
On September 29, 2022, the Hodag Park Amphitheater was dedicated and included not only a ribbon cutting, but also with music from Bogfoot and food carts from CT's Deli and Casa Mexicana and Rhinelander Brewing Company. The City worked for several years (since 2014) with community members to place the structure in the largest park in Rhinelander. Once everyone saw drawings of how it would fit into the "northwoods" vibe with Boom Lake in the background, several large donors came forward to support the project which cost $450,000.
MSA worked with the City to design the stone and wood amphitheater. The stage wooden middle doors slide open to allow sight to Boom Lake. It is thought the back smaller side would be used for smaller activities such as poetry reading. Both sides have a concrete apron surrounding them with also an accessibility ramp. The ground slopes slightly upward from the amphitheater, making it a great venue for the audience to enjoy events.
