Little Chute
Doyle Park Stage
The Stage in Doyle Park was built in 1996 at the request of the band director of the Little Chute Community Band to the Village. The Band director at that time had determined that the Band needed a more permanent place to perform for the Kermis Festival, which originated in 1981 which celebrated the Dutch heritage of Little Chute. This Festival ended in 2014 because of waning interest.
However, in 1988, the first annual Great Wisconsin Cheese Festival was inaugurated, which coincided with June Dairy Month in Wisconsin, in Doyle Park. This Festival has remained one of the summer highlights along with regular Little Chute Community Band performances.
The cost of the bandshell was $67,679.50 and was funded by the Village and proceeds from the Great Wisconsin Cheese Festival. The designer was McMahaon Architects/Engineers.
