Bob Berndt Performing Arts Theater

This Bob Berndt Performing Arts Theater, located in Crivitz Community Veteran's Park, was completed in the summer of 2024.  Its ribbon cutting  is planned on August 18. with the Area Wide Alumni Band performing.  

From The Daily News:  Berndt was band director in Crivitz for nearly three decades before becoming superintendent of Beecher-Dunbar-Pembine Schools. He has always been involved with music, using it as a tool to help area youth develop life skills. Throughout his career he has played in several bands, directed the NEW Concert band, and is currently drummer for crowd favorite Daze2Nights.

The cost is about $200,000 and all monies raised have come from local individuals, businesses, clubs and organizations.  Some were the Brothers of Masonic Light Lodge No. 218 with $2,000, the Stephenson National Bank & Trust with $10,000, and Operation Bandshell event in held in 2022.

The architect is Peter O'Gorek, Perspective Designs.  Krzewina, Custom Home Builders, was the contractor.
 
The idea was part of the park plan done by the Village of Crivitz to replace the existing bandshell with a more permanent structure. The momentum for it came from the success from raising money and constructing the Veterans Memorial.
