Veterans Park Bandshell

The bandshell in Veterans Park was built in 2007. It was a project organized by Civic Pride, which was composed of local groups such as Kiwanis, Optimists, and the Ootsburg Historical Society. The bandshell was considered a keystone in the revitalization of the park.
Abacus was the architectural firm who drew up the plans in 2005; construction was in 2006; and the bandshell was completed by 2007. The wood surrounding the stage is made of one-inch strips that have been banded together and bent to the curved shape. Plaques in front and on one side commemorate veterans from the community; plaques on the front and other opposite side have donor's names etched upon them.
The cost of the project was $215,496; funding came from an $18,000 grant from Sheboygan County, $98,748 from the Village and $98,748 from the Civic Pride organization.

In 2022, AUGUSTFEST is scheduled.
There may be a few more concerts held at the bandshell during the summer.
In 2018, they were on June 21 and August 9. In 2020, one was scheduled for June 18, and one was held August 12.
