Oshkosh
Leach Amphitheater
The Leach Amphitheater is located in downtown Oshkosh along the Fox River which empties into the nearby Lake Winnebago. Its concept began on November 1, 2003, when the City purchased the riverfront land. By November 17, 2003, there was an announcement that the Leach family donated the needed funds as a gift to the community. Others also contributed to it, both public and private. On June 4, 2005, the official Grand Opening was held. An audience of over 7,500 can be accommodated. |
During the summer season, the Live at the Leach free concerts are also held once per week.
On May 26, 2005, the first annual concert was held as part of the weekly Waterfest Concert series
which has hosted nationally known bands and artists.
The Amphitheater also has hosted other events including the Oshkosh Half Marathon, movies, and
Kids from Wisconsin , and Oshkosh Irishfest. Check its FaceBook page.
